The physical bookstore closed on March 15.

We are now open Mon-Fri 12-5 for curbside pickup:.

Curbside pickup works like this
— Place your lovely book orders by phone (413-203-1717) or here on the website
— Either select "I would like to pick this order up at the store" under "Pick-Up options"
— Or under "Calculate Shipping Costs select either "In-store pickup" (which = Curbside Pickup) or "Curbside Pickup + donation" (if you'd like to donate to the ECC)
— If we have the books in stock, we will arrange pickup (or you can come Wed-Fri, 12-6). If we have to order the books we will contact you with an estimated pickup date. We'll reach out again when the books arrive.
— We'll confirm your identity and pass you the books in a large plastic box so that we can stay socially quite far from one another!

We're going to be very cautious and expect to be among the later group of stores to open any further.

We are still doing delivery and books can still be shipped to you/anywhere else.

If you can, please consider adding a donation to the Easthampton Community Center to your order, thank you!

Book orders from this website will still be shipped directly from our wholesaler. If you order Moon Merch, your order will be fulfilled by us and may be a little delayed as we gather everything together.

May 13 Easthampton Artists, apply for a grant by May 22!
Earlier in April Hey, look at what Amanda and Beth are up on on the new site Bookshop — buy books from that site and support us, or, your fave website or indie bookshop!

Thanks for your support. We are still mailing out orders. Yay! Hope you are well!

We have 12,000+ books in the store and millions more available from our suppliers. Most of our booksellers are working from home (our newsletter's about to get more interesting — sign up here) and we are happily doing book takeout. Call in (413-203-1717) or order online and do curbside pickup or get them delivered right to your home.

  • Order from our website.
  • Have you considered an online gift certificate?
  • Try Libro FM for audiobooks they're being extra supportive of indie bookstores!
  • How about some ebooks?
  • Our used books are not online yet. One day. In the meantime, we recommend Biblio as it is independent and we find the condition descriptions are generally (not always, eh) more accurate.

Here's Gavin as one of many booksellers quoted in a New York Times story on how bookshops are hoping to survive.

Thanks as ever for reading.

Previously in this spot:

We are keeping a close eye on this Mass.gov site and this CDC page

We have some upcoming eventsall of which are cancelled due to COVID-19 precautions.

We are:

  • taking common sense precautions and hope you will, too:
  • wiping down all hard surfaces with Lysol wipes once/twice a day
  • waving hello, not shaking hands
  • washing hands often
  • staying home if sick
  • avoiding touching our faces.

Fingers crossed all is well. We want to be here, selling books &c., for years to come. But we do need to sell books to pay the rent, utilities, meet payroll, and so on. Things have been going great but if the town/state/country takes a 2-4 week break a la Italy, we would really appreciate:

Thanks as ever for reading.
